Tommy-FluenMeet the friendly faces who’ll be looking after your pet
Tommy Fluen

BSc, MSc (Hons), DVM, MRCVS

As one of our team of dedicated emergency out-of-hours vets, Tommy is used to thinking quickly and acting fast to help pets in need. He is used to seeing pets in a wide variety of situations, ranging from those suffering with diarrhoea and vomiting to unfortunate victims of trauma cases.

Tommy enjoys the challenge of working out each patient’s condition, especially those who need urgent attention, and helping them on the road to recovery as quickly as possible.

Tommy doesn’t have any pets of his own at the moment, but states that he is “in the market for a tortoise”.

Josephine Beck

Josephine particularly enjoys her job because of the large variety of cases she sees, and being able to work out the problems and appropriate treatment for each one. She has a special affinity for cats and so enjoys all the feline cases.

Josephine has recently moved to the UK from Melbourne, Australia so doesn’t have any pets of her own…yet.

Isabel Ballard

BVetMed, MRCVS (Hons)

Isy cannot remember ever not wanting to be a vet, so it was with great pride that she accepted her place at, and later graduated from, London’s Royal Veterinary College.

Animal welfare is of the utmost importance to her which is why she chose to go to India for a short time and work within an animal clinic before spending some time working for charities within the UK. It was in these environments that she recognised that her real satisfaction came from being able to deliver gold standard care.

Isy joined the Parkvets team in early 2015 and says, “I just love the fact that we work up cases properly, have 24 hour care facilities and truly deliver gold standard care. It’s how we are taught to work at college and it is great to be in an environment where this is an expectation rather than the exception.”

James Hulbert

For James, having been brought up on a working farm, animals have always played a huge part in his life.  Their welfare and well-being matter hugely to him and it is no surprise that James has wanted to be a vet since being a small child.  This dream has now lead him to joining the Parkvets family where he is extremely proud to be able to practice ‘gold standard’ veterinary care.   He loves Parkvets’ progressive thinking and determination to do right by the animals, making sure he applies this attitude daily to his care of his patients.
